Lunch spot: The Stove, Bourn

Our most recent lunch and coffee meet-up spot is The Stove on Manor Farm Bourn. We might go so far as to say it is our new favourite place when we have the kids in tow but we really want a nice bit of lunch and something to keep them amused.

The cafe is large, with a kids’ play area in the far corner – i.e. far away enough for you not to worry if they do a bit of that screamy/shouty thing they are fond of. Plus the setting couldn’t be better – there’s a small farm outside which houses pigs, ducks and goats so if they become truly unruly you can feed them to the animals…I mean take them outside to see the animals!

The food is great – soups, quiches and a tempting array of home made cakes too. Plus they do some hearty daily specials – sausage and mash, risotto, the odd burger.

The Stove, Manor Farm Bourn, Alms Hill, Bourn.

Open Monday-Saturday 9am-5pm.
