Poco Kids launch

I was delighted to be invited to the launch of Poco Kids, an independently owned children’s clothing store. Poco have had an online presence for some time and any independent local biz is always a hit over here at BWC HQ so off I trotted to have a nosy and meet the owner, Laura.

Poco joins some of Cambridge’s best indies (Afternoon Tease and Yippy Noodle to name just two!) by being located in King Street. Laura and her team have created a beautiful shop. All clean lines and simple stylish rails which show the clothing off wonderfully.

Laura hand picks all the designers herself. These include Jax & Hedley, Little Remix by Charlotte Eskildsen and one of my favs, unisex brand, Toots a MacGinty. Each collection works together so you can mix and match pieces as you like.

There are some really reasonably priced t-shirts mixed in with some high end items, like the Little Remix black leather dunagree dress. This will set you back over £100 BUT it is stunning and the leather is as soft as butter. The perfect piece for a mother of 4 little girls! (£25 per kid softens the blow somewhat!)

In a city famous for its chain’s this little indie shop is a breath of fresh air for Cambridge mamas. I urge you to all pop in and show your support, have a little look and maybe buy a couple of bits.

You can also order online at pocokids.com and gift vouchers are available.

As well as blogging we also host regular mama gatherings - sometimes just hangouts over coffee and cake and sometimes a creative class and making session with food. All welcome - with babies or as time to yourself. Find out more
