Psst…new restaurant opening in Cambridgeshire soon

On our travels this week we have discovered that Cambridge is set to gain another top-class indie restaurant very soon. The Willow Tree at Bourn is currently gearing up to open a sister restaurant in Caxton in early 2014. Owners Shaina and Craig Galvin-Scott are busy planning their new venue and plan to soft launch it later this month.

The new addition to the Willow Tree family will be called No. 77 and will take the form of a Thai Kitchen and Freehouse, with truly authentic food cooked by Thai chefs. The restaurant is going to be on the site of the old Cross Keys in Caxton, and the pub is currently being entirely refurbished ready for its new occupants. And if you’ve been to The Willow Tree before then you know that you can expect more of the same gorgeous vintage chic decor and exceptional food from No. 77.

So get excited Cambridge, with Shaina at the helm on front of house and making the place looking beautiful, and Craig working his magic in the kitchen, we think it’s set to be a hit. The plan is for the new Thai to open with a soft launch in late February and the official opening in March.

Their website and set opening date is yet to come. Watch this space for more!
