It’s not normal that a Spring menu consists of big feast boards and dirty sticky cauliflower but we’re so excited for this re-launch of the NOVI Cambridge menu. As some of you may know I work in NOVI most Wednesdays and so know (and love) the brunch menu, and I’m pleased that all my favourites are here to stay, but it’s the hands-on, generous evening stuff that this re-launch is really all about to me. So first off – how pretty does NOVI look in Spring? Secondly I got to pop along to the staff tasting and try all the menu and it is GOOD. The new menu is great, tonnes for veggies including a lick-lipping sticky cauliflower to go alongside the sticky chicken wings, an avo-topped veggie burger and the most delicious quinoa falafel – I think it’s the home made pitta and pickled cucumber that make it really special. There’s loads of gluten free and vegan options too. The new dishes echo the brunch menu in their thoughtful ingredients and botanical nod – pickling and herb salt for example, but are bigger and more hands-on to reflect the relaxed evening drinking vibe.
I love the fact they’re introducing feast boards – perfect for people like me who can’t decide and want it all! A veggie and a meat version contain some well-matched main dishes and sides and it’s plenty for two people to get fully satisfied for a really good price. Plus you get to try some of the sides too – the parmesan churros are a-mazing for starters.
We can’t wait to use our 50% off on the veggie feast – the veggie burger can be made vegan by taking out the cheese and homemade relish and adding pickled cucumber (hooray). What will you be trying? Don’t forget the discount stops on Wednesday (weekdays only)!
