A taste of Cambridge Cookery School

On Saturday evening we had the privilege of being invited to the Cambridge Cookery School and Cafe. We’ve long been fans of their simply outstanding breakfast, brunch and lunch options – not to mention their spot on coffee, but we hadn’t tried out their evening offerings yet.

We kicked off the evening with refreshing pomegranate and grapefruit cocktails and the most delicious roasted almonds with rosemary. Seriously so moreish! Next came the beautiful platters; a vegetarian, a Scandinavian, an Italian, a Japanese (my personal favourite) and a Middle Eastern. All of which are divine and perfect for sharing or as an amazing feast for one.

Pudding was a rich chocolatey gluten-free brownie accompanied by Eaton Mess. Heaven. The menu has a selection of British cheeses and mini desserts to choose from as well.

The atmosphere in the cafe was wonderful and one of these fine days I’d love to take one of the cookery courses available in the hope I could create something as tasty as the menu there has to offer. We will be back for brunch again ASAP. We hear great things about their eggs with taleggio!

Cambridge Cookery School cafe and wine bar is now open Saturday evenings until midnight as well as Mon to Fri, 8am-5pm.
