We were thrilled to be commissioned to create another event for families at Romsey Art Festival 2014 by Ruthie from Cambridge Art Salon. The theme was loosely around music to celebrate the launch of Sofar Sounds Cambridge, so I decided to team up with gig poster designers WeThreeClub to host a toddler print party.
The free event was quickly fully booked with 20 under 4’s. We decorated the hall with gig posters for inspiration, and filled tables with potato prints, fabric paints and pastels. Everyone had a fun time, with a collection of incredible t-shirts as the outcome. It definitely brought out the expressionist in some and the perfectionist in others!
The hall was filled with music and laughter, and when people were done they had a rest in The Cat Basket (an incredibly cosy yurt installation by Kat which is available to hire). We had such great feedback and want to say a big thank you to all the incredible kids and parents who came along. If you have any photos of your kids in their creations, we’d love to see them!
Afterwards we got the chance to pop to the Hope Street market for a well deserved steak&honour cheeseburger for the adults and FiredUp pizza for the kids. We ate, they danced to the music and the sun shone! There was a lovely atmosphere in Romsey all day, Ruthie and CAS should be so proud of putting on such a great community event and raising money for Syria. Here’s to 2015!
